Saturday will see the side travel to Walsall to face a Darlaston Town (1874) side looking to build on just their second league victory of 2020 which they picked up last Saturday. Darlaston ended their recent poor form with a 4-0 drubbing of then basement side Dudley Sports. Early goals from Issac Cooper and Leon Taylor put the side on their way before second-half goals from Halil and Wilson secured the convincing victory.
Darlaston have struggled for form in the league since the turn of the year registering just two wins and a draw from their eight games and will be looking to add to their two wins when United visit on Saturday. Darlaston, currently in 9th position, could climb into 8th with a victory.
United on the other hand, enter the tie in arguably their best form of the season after discovering some consistency with just two defeats in their last six games with wins over Bewdley Town, Wolverhampton Sporting Community and Dudley Sports. Manager, Declan Allen has made no secret of his aim to finish mid-table and a win on Saturday could mean the side rise above Smethwick Rangers who are without a game into 14th.
The two sides met in the reverse fixture in December where Darlaston ran out 4-3 winners on the night and another close game is expected on Saturday.
United could welcome Josef Pratt, JJ Acton, Rifat Ata, Liam Walton and leading scorer David Jones back to the squad who all missed the 1-1 draw with Black Country Rangers last Saturday.
