Shawbury make the trip to Aberystwyth to take on Borth United of the MMP with Norman Lloyd Mid-Wales League 2nd Div on Saturday 29th June 2019, KO 4:30pm. The match will take place at Aberystwyth Town FC.

It promises to be a stern test for new Manager Declan Allen’s squad with many new signings set for their first outing in black and white, and Allen is delighted to have got decent opposition in the first match. "It's a great first game at a great venue in the Welsh Premier League. It's a superb place for our players to put down their marker and an ideal away fixture for some team bonding to take place which will be important as we progress through the summer.”

With pre season training starting in just over 3 weeks time, assistant manager Sean Evans is looking forward to seeing the squad in action. “I think at this point it’s always interesting to see where we are at as a squad physically. We would of had a few sessions in us already so it will be good to start seeing little shoots of what we are trying to achieve this season come out in these games. I know Bryn the head coach at Borth well, and know they will be looking forward to it so it will be a good test for us.”
