The club are pleased to announce that planning permission has been re-activated to allow the club to return home.

This week saw the planners of The Shropshire Council give the green light for the club's planned new community facilities. The location, just of the A53 into Shawbury, is close to the heart of the village and will not only provide a venue for the senior and junior teams of the football club but also a facility which can be used by the local community and businesses.

The planned facility includes five football pitches. One main pitch which will meet ground grading for the 1st team's current step 6 league with the ability to improve should the side gain promotion in the future. A second senior pitch is also planned with floodlights and dugout's. This is crucial to the football club with the introduction of the u23's this season and the two Youth Teams (U18's and U17's). Three further junior pitches are planned for the varying formats along with a training area.

The proposals also include a new car park, with coach, minibus, and disabled parking for 97 vehicles. Two buildings will be constructed containing changing rooms which serve both senior pitches along with a bar/ cafe, community meeting rooms, offices, toilets and medical facilities for the club.

It is hoped that works shall begin before the year end.

You can catch our chairman, Dave Richards, discussing the proposals on BBC Radio Shropshire today (08/10/20) or on repeat during saturday afternoon's sports show.
