December saw just two games played for United, a 4-2 victory over Coventry Copeswood and a 1-1 draw with Ashby Ivanhoe. The nominees for the December Player of the Month are:
Rifat Ata
Ata came off the bench against Coventry to finish off a wonderful team move scoring United's fourth earning himself a start against Ashby Ivanhoe. He repaid the faith with a goal midway through the first half in that one to earn United a point.
Seth Ellis
Despite playing just once in December against Coventry Copeswood, Ellis has been in good form recently and that continued in this fixture where he set up up two of the four goals in different fashions. One showing his vision from deep to pick out Elliot Lee and the other his hold up play feeding Cian Fenlon for his strike.
Elliot Lee
Lee is another that has been in rich form of late and this continued against Coventry Copeswood where his pace and running struck fear into the Coventry defence where he scored in the first half. He continued this at home to Ashby Ivanhoe where his jinking run set up Rifat Ata to score the equaliser and secure a point.
Ryan Millington
Millington, the only defender to be named this month has looked sharp defensively and grown in confidence in his new surroundings to become a real defensive leader. His calm defensive approach has been matched by his organisation and the former Shrewsbury Town Scholar has gone from strength to strength helping his side pick up four points in an unbeaten December.
